The results of your quick searches are displayed on a Quick Search Results page. This page gives you access to all the records in Archive Finder containing your search term(s). The results are displayed by dataset in two categories, Collection results and Repository results. A reminder of what you searched for is included at the top of the page, along with an indication of how many results have been retrieved in each category.
The Quick Search Results page is divided into two sections, one for Collection results and one for Repository results. Links at the top of the page allow you to move between the two sections, for example to jump to the Repository results section, click the Repository results link at the top of the page.
You can select Collection or Repository records in the Quick Search Results and transfer them to the Marked List:
The selected records will be highlighted and transferred to your Marked List.
To de-select records:
You can click the Marked List link to view the current entries in your Marked List at any time.
The Quick Search Results page displays up to ten Collection records and ten Repository records; if your search has retrieved more than ten records in a particular category, you can view more results by clicking the More Repository results or More Collection results links at the foot of each section on the Quick Search Results. This will take you to either the Collection Search Results or the Repository Search Results.
Collection records are sorted alphabetically by collection name and within that alphabetically by repository name. Repository records are sorted alphabetically by repository name and within that alphabetically by collection name.
The following information is displayed on the Quick Search Results:
You can view the Collection Full Record by clicking the hyperlinked Collection name for an entry in the Collection results section of the Quick Search Results.
You can view the Repository Full Record either by clicking the hyperlinked Repository name for an entry in the Collection results section of the Quick Search Results, or by clicking the hyperlinked Repository name for an entry in the Repository results section.
